VAT rate abuse

We appear to have businesses who are in the same business no less, charging different rates of VAT to retail customers.

The problem has become an epidemic and strong Government action is needed so everybody can be on a level playing field.

We also have many firms quoting prices exclusive of VAT to retail customers, which has been outlawed for some time.

We desperately need a Department of Consumer Affairs in this country.
