Testing benefits

Your report (Jun 29) says Enda Kenny has ‘refused to rule out means testing child benefit and cutting free electricity, phones, and travel for pensioners’.

Contrast this with his stout defence of paying massive pensions to ‘retired’ politicians, by claiming that their ‘property rights’ are preventing government cutting these back to more acceptable levels.
