Edmund Burke’s quote: “All that is necessary for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing” must surely ring in the ears of Cardinal Sean Brady these past 37 years.

Surely, belatedly and on mature reflection he consider the misfortunate innocent victims of Fr Brendan Smyth and then consider his own position.
