Apology: Fr Gerry O'Hanlon

In an opinion column in Wednesday’s Irish Examiner on the changed beliefs of Irish Catholics, it was wrongly stated that a Fr Gerry O' Hanlon was censored by the Vatican.

We have been asked to clarify that Fr Gerry O'Hanlon SJ is not, and never has been, censored by the Vatican.

We regret the error and apologise to Fr Gerry O'Hanlon for the mistake.
