A Fine Gael TD has asked the Central Statistics Office (CSO) for information on the number of people who claimed their religion was that of 'Jedi knight' in last year's Census.

In an opinion column in Wednesday’s Irish Examiner on the changed beliefs of Irish Catholics, it was wrongly stated that a Fr Gerry O' Hanlon was censored by the Vatican.

The annual increase in the employment rate for the third quarter of this year was just 0.5%, according to figures released by the Central Statistics Office today.
