Double standards - A shaming silence

Questions that challenge our self-image as a civilised, united, rational society free of racism.

It certainly challenges our collective inaction on one of the most violent and tragic murders in recent history. It focuses on the chilling, savage death inflicted on Roma teenager Marioara Rostas, and asks if an Irish teenage had been butchered in such a bestial way, would the response have been the same? It contrasts the protests about medical cards and stag and fox hunting to the communal silence that greeted her death.
