Rules only applyto the little people

Speaking at the Government’s latest jobs plan launch, Taoiseach Enda Kenny said that we couldn’t have a situation where people were “serially and forever’ drawing benefit that workers were paying for through taxes.

Rules only applyto the little people

“‘Everybody in this country can make a contribution and everybody will be encouraged to make a contribution and if they don’t, and fail to engage with agencies, then they put their payments at risk,” he said.

Fine words from the man who ‘lied’ to the Irish electorate prior the last election.

I wonder if after the ministerial performance reviews, promised by the said Mr Kenny, that failure in each case will be followed by a decrease in salary and expenses? Pigs will fly! !

Once again I wonder if Mr Kenny, who is paid more than the PM of the UK and more than double that of the Spanish PM, will take note of what Mr Jonathan O’Brien, the Cork SF TD, said about his wages and expenses being too high, and take the required steps to reduce the political gravy train that exists in Ireland.

After all, these are paid for by the workers though taxes.

I reckon I’ll see a herd of pigs flying over West Cork if that should happen.

Our elite live under the adage of ‘do as I say and not as I do’ and ordinary rules only apply to the little people.
