Government running away from plebiscite

Who would have thought that a government which presented itself as the saviours of the Irish people in Feb 2011, would find itself running away from the Irish people in Feb 2012?

Perhaps what Leo Varadkar really meant to say last week was ‘governments that deny their own citizens a say through plebiscite were not very democratic’.
