Real change for all

I want to thank Colette Browne for her recent article (Opinion, Jan 25) regarding politicians’ counter-intuitive and immoral implementation of austerity measures that are currently crippling citizens all over Ireland.

It is great to see a journalist writing with deep consideration and empathy, particularly at a time where some still insist on promoting backward ideas like putting Michael O’Leary as head of the state.

We must continue to support and encourage critical thinking and open discussion if we are ever to make good, enduring change in Ireland.
