We’re not paying the household charge

I FULLY support Independent TD Thomas Pringle’s call on people to support a campaign not to pay this hideous household charge.

Mr Pringle says he will not register for the tax, nor will he pay it. Well done, Mr Pringle. At last we have we have some principled TDs in the Dáil who are prepared to suffer personally for their beliefs they know are in our country’s and people’s best interests.

I also commend Socialist TD Joe Higgins and Sinn Féin TD Aengus Ó Snodaigh who’ve also said they’re not paying our “poll tax” and who are calling on us, the ordinary folk, not to pay it either. Mr Higgins is also spot-on when says the Government could source funding for local services by refusing to pay over €1bn to unsecured Anglo bondholders in January.
