Listen to clerical abuse survivors

BISHOP BOYCE now “invites all survivors of clerical abuse to come to him for guidance”.

I am utterly staggered that any bishop feels able to offer “guidance” to clergy sexual abuse survivors. Certainly my experience in supporting victims who have spoken to a bishop has been one of condescension. The reaction has been, quite frankly, inadequate, unskilled, and often more damaging for them.
