Taxpayer still the victim

THE spat between the Government and the banks over interest rate reductions is all about who “Sean taxpayer” pays, nothing more.

What the banks do not get in interest Sean will have, to pay his bills and hence his regular taxes, his stealth taxes and his emergency taxes. Meanwhile, the captains of finance and politics continue to draw their salacious salaries, their bumper bonuses, their munificent allowances and expenses.

We have had the phoney mutiny only to find that the bounty sails on.
