A Youghal we can all be proud of
While Youghal has lost its industry and we have unfinished building projects and some companies have fallen by the wayside, in the sad and uncertain times we are living in, we are not alone.
Youghal won a bronze medal in the Tidy Towns competition.
There was a successful Queen of the Sea festival and several other great events throughout the year. On Friday we have Youghal Culture Night with 18 different events.
Youghal Concerned Citizens have been working hard putting on various events and meeting all the tour companies, encouraging them to let their buses spend a longer time in town when they call.
There’s a long safe beach (the envy of many) and scenery to die for. We have a selection of great restaurants and cafés, new shops and more to open.
There are also lots of water-based activities and various groups for both children and adults — and a lot more.
You need never be lonely in Youghal as the people are so friendly, always a smile and a chat when you meet on the street.
Yes, I do love Youghal.
Let’s stop running it down and get together to put right the wrongs and create a Youghal to be proud of.
