Only Taoiseach believes in keeping bad ECB deal

CIT Economics Lecturer Tom O’Connor believes the IMF/EU deal “should be cast aside”.

Only Taoiseach believes in keeping bad ECB deal

UCD Economics Professor Morgan Kelly describes the ECB bank bailout policy as “suicidal”. Former BoI CEO Mike Soden states “we need 30 years to pay back debt ... interest only payments for the first 10 years”. Glas Securities report that “Ireland needs to delay payments until 2020”. Shane Ross TD believes “We have to default”. FG MEP Gay Mitchell has said “it’s impossible for Ireland to cope with sovereign and bank debt”. At the ISME annual lunch last month Ivan Yates said “An Irish default is inevitable”. FG Minister Leo Varadker has publicly stated we may need a second “bailout”. But Enda Kenny has said “Ireland will not restructure or seek a longer repayment period”.

Our Taoiseach must be the last person left who believes we can stick with this disastrous ECB policy.
