Stance on incineration

WITH reference to Rosie Cargin’s letter expressing doubts regarding the stance that Fine Gael would adopt mass burn incineration, the Combined Residents Against Incineration (CRAI), a community-based organisation that has been opposing the proposed Poolbeg incinerator, has identical concerns.

Although CRAI has a signed pledge from Enda Kenny vowing to stop the project, and promises from one local FG candidate, the attitude of the party’s environment spokesperson has been ambivalent. It would be of great assistance to the voters if this could be clarified.
