History repeated with Fianna Fáil’s disasters

IT WAS very interesting to see Micheál Martin posing next to the statue of Jack Lynch in Blackpool recently.

They have already a list of similar achievements. When Lynch and Martin O’Donoghue sold the country to win the 1977 election it resulted in bringing Ireland to its knees, drove hundreds of thousands of our young people out of the country, caused massive unemployment and imposed severe hardship on the weak, the poor, the sick and the old.

When Martin and his cronies sold the country in a Galway tent they brought Ireland to its knees again, have driven hundreds of thousands of our young people out of the country, caused massive unemployment and imposed severe hardship on the weak, the poor, the sick, the old and the blind.

When Lynch brought Haughey into his cabinet it also contained Jim Gibbons.

At the Arms Trial, Judge Henchy said that either Haughey or Gibbons had committed perjury.

One of Martin’s first deeds as leader of FF was to bring Willie O’Dea onto his front bench. A short time ago, Mr O’Dea had to resign as a minister because he was caught telling lies under oath.

When Mr Lynch left office, his constituency Cork North Central was designated as a European poverty blackspot.

Mr Martin and his cronies have done much better than this.

They have turned the whole country into a poverty blackspot and may yet do the same for the whole of Europe.
