Cancer awareness

I JUST wanted to say a massive “thank you” for publishing my Guinness World Record feature, and more importantly helping me create awareness for World Cancer Day, last Friday.

I’m already receiving kind messages of support from Irish Examiner readers, and getting some brilliant cancer survival stories emailed to me. If having cancer has done something for me — it’s given me drive, desire and an appreciation of life. All those countless bags of chemotherapy not only destroyed my tumour, but removed my lazy gene and replaced it with ambition, energy and dreams.

Many thanks to the Irish Examiner and its readers.
