Easing alcohol law is not the solution to rural isolation

I WISH to respond to with concern to your editorial (Jan 28).

Amazingly, in this editorial you effectively attribute a rise in suicides among older persons to Ireland’s drink driving laws.

But what is most surprising is that someone in an editorial position would demonstrate such a lack of social responsibility.
