Brass necks aplenty

HAVING grown accustomed to the sheer arrogance and brass neck of FF ministers, the demise of that particular party does not fill me with the slightest degree of regret.

However, I fear that the brass necks of FF are now going to be replaced by the brass necks of Labour. Vincent Browne recently put it to Joan Burton on his TV3 chat show that Eamon Gilmore had stated on the Late Late Show that Labour would not undo the FF cutbacks. She denied that Gilmore had so stated.

When Browne read a transcript of what Gilmore had stated on the Late Late, in which he unambiguously and categorically stated that Labour would not undo the FF cutbacks, she still denied it. Without having the grace to either blush or blink.
