I MUST take issue with Professor Joe Barry’s attempt to attribute positive legacies to our disgraced Government ministers.

He cites Mary Harney’s ban on the use of bituminous coal and claims that science can show that it saved lives.

Can he name a single person who died as a result of exposure to that coal prior to the ban?
