IN speaking of the Neil Prendeville imbroglio, Pat Kenny is quoted (Irish Examiner, November 4) as saying: “On one hand, nobody had died, everyone present was adult and lots of people have been subjected to that kind of exposure from time to time.”

Apart from the unfortunate use of “on the one hand” and the over-used excuse that nobody died, Pat Kenny’s “lots of people” blurs the fact that the vast majority of the people he refers to are women.

As Lady Macbeth acknowledged, “all the perfumes of Arabia will not sweeten this little hand”.
