Now may we have the President’s views on FF?

SPEAKING recently at a conference of the Institute for Public Administration, President Mary McAleese stated, quite correctly, that we “should rigorously address any form of persistent under-performance in the public service and that tolerance of any under-performance was very damaging in reputational terms”.

Now may we have the President’s views on FF?

Interestingly, she also correctly stated that “it only takes one careless person, one nasty person, one person to give the whole team a bad name”.

While addressing such remarks at the soft target of the public service, what a pity the President didn’t more appropriately proffer such apt insights about her friends in the Fianna Fáil party.
