Renegotiate energy lease

DESPERATE times, desperate measures.

Can someone please explain to me why the Government cannot renegotiate the oil and gas leases virtually given away free to the giant oil companies. Surely, a percentage of the revenue from these fields would end our debt crisis?

But, once again, only the ordinary people will suffer while the giant corporate capitalists get away with everything. Why are we such suckers?
