Not oppressed

AS a young Catholic woman I do not believe I am ‘oppressed’ by the church.

Nor do I support proposals for the introduction of the ordination of woman.

Judging by the pews filled with women of various ages in Clonakilty last Sunday, this view appears also to resonate with a majority of the community.
