Government hostile to farmers with GM foods push

WHY is the Government clearly so absolutely determined to push GM foods through against all the mounting evidence?

Even the WHO is starting to realise that normal farming methods are going to be better for the world in the long run. There is absolutely nothing, I repeat, absolutely nothing, in favour of GM crops except huge profits for Monsanto and some other companies.

Monsanto’s record to humanity so far started with the appallingly toxic Agent Orange and progresses with almost annual international awards for their work against climate change and their lack of ethics.
