I THINK someone should remind Brendan Cafferty (Letters, July 2) that the Dublin and Monaghan bombing atrocities happened not centuries ago, but 36 years ago.

Apology required

He should know the victims’ relatives are still awaiting justice, but in its absence, I’m sure they would welcome an apology from the head of the British armed forces if and when she calls on us.
