Rat poison was used to kill rare birds

He suggests that recent wildlife poisonings did not involve rat poison.

Recent press reports and information on the website of the Golden Eagle Trust indicates that a golden eagle, four white-tailed eagles, five red kites, three buzzards and one peregrine falcon have been killed by Alphachloralose.

This substance is the active ingredient of a rat poison which is manufactured and sold in Ireland. It seems to be licenced only for use as a rodenticide.
