Spend it on schools

YOU report (May 31) that the Catholic archdiocese of Dublin is planning to sell some of its property portfolio.

It would be a pleasant surprise to most Catholic parents who are basically the fundraisers for the church if money made from our investments was reinvested in our schools in the local areas of sale.

Here in Clondalkin the church has some very valuable properties, including houses, which are not being used. The sale of these could be of great benefit to our local schools which are all crying out for investments.

The church could show real leadership and put the money back into something we could all benefit from.
