Tunnel vision

OF all the daft projects planned by this state, the proposed rail tunnel connecting Heuston and Connolly stations in Dublin has to be the daftest and most expensive.

Haven’t the planners noticed there is already a virtually unused rail connection between the two stations via a tunnel under the Phoenix Park?
