Walking into trouble

IS Michael Job (Letters, April 19) suggesting pedestrians can walk willy-nilly on the roads with no responsibility for their own safety. I suggest Mr Job consult the Rules of the Road under the section Pedestrians and find out exactly what his responsibilites are.

Walking into trouble

In any town or city around the country he will find crossings which most pedestrians ignore. Instead they walk across the road with barely a glance to see if it is clear. As for rural roads, most pedestrians walk on the wrong side and in groups spread half way across and generally without any reflective clothing at nightime.
