Bank bonuses ‘would feed 10 million children’

SO THREE Anglo Irish Bank directors were granted bonuses of €1m each, while still owing the bank €100m.

Anglo has been bailed out by the Irish taxpayer to the tune of some €20bn, in effect doubling the national debt. You contrasted this (April 1) with a carer being pursued for a sum of approximately €80,000.

This situation is not only insane but is deeply morally wrong. In contrast, I recently came across a charity called Mary’s Meals (www.marys.org), which is an international movement to set up school feeding projects in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education.
