No trust, no integrity

THE theme of Gearóid Ó Tuathaigh’s thought-provoking address recently to the ASTI conference was integrity and trust. Both of these have been destroyed by the neoliberal economic policies of the Government, big business and bankers.

The consequence of which is that social cohesion is being shaken to its foundations.

Mr Ó Tuathaigh spoke of the importance of language and how security of tenure was now interpreted as stagnation and good working conditions as being a privilege. The Government, by employing its neoliberal agenda, has ruined our country’s finances. Let it not do the same to our education system.
