When will the banks show real contrition?
I feel like I am, again, taking the burden of all the mistakes that the banks and the Government made.
The Bank of Ireland “regret” they have to do this. No, they don’t. They could not care less.
I would like to see them write to me and say: “Mark, we made a mess of everything. We are really sorry and we need your help now to get us out of this mess and when we start to make money again we will lower your mortgage interest rate.”
I want to see some real humility and contrition from those who ruined my country.
I want those who put themselves forward to lead and who were rewarded as leaders for a long time to shoulder the real burden of their incompetence.
I want to see some politicians and bankers held accountable finally for the mess they have made and want to believe when they pray at night it is for forgiveness and not for the storm to blow over so they can stop feeling uncomfortable.
