Response to article ‘extremely disingenuous’

THE letter you published (March 22) from Seamus Crimmins, executive director of RTÉ’s Performing Groups, in response to Jo Kerrigan’s excellent article (March 12) about the plight of the RTÉ’s Vanbrugh Quartet is disingenuous in the extreme.

His attempts, yet again, to disguise the disgraceful way he and his predecessor, as representatives of RTÉ, have treated the members of the quartet are shameful. If Mr Crimmins wishes me to describe the totally unsatisfactory nature of what he refers to as “consultation” with me, then I will do so.

Ms Kerrigan’s article was not emotional, it was based on facts.
