THERE has been a great deal of media attention on today’s rugby match between Leinster and Munster.

I can’t tell people they’re not Catholic, but I do believe Catholics should not go to the game today

Several newspapers and radio stations contacted the friars here to get our view on this event, and you may have read or heard some comments which have been inaccurately attributed to me.

In more than one paper it was reported that I claimed anyone who attended this match could no longer call themselves Catholic and that they would face the wrath of God.
