Cable channel needed to attract visitors

APPARENTLY Tourism Ireland is targeting North America despite the fact that 57% of our tourists come from Britain.

Cable channel needed to attract visitors

The spend of €40 million to attract tourists to Ireland is becoming a rather old fashioned way of trying to convince people that Ireland is their right choice. The way people decide nowadays is via the internet and TV travel channels.

I suggest Tourism Ireland enter talks with RTÉ on how best to provide a dedicated cable channel that can be seen worldwide showing the best Irish tourism documentaries and movies with opportunities to stay at the best places (programmes can be paid for by the big organisations which have most to gain).
