Bishop must go

BISHOP Martin Drennan must go. He may have the support of Galway priests, but this is irrelevant to the cover-up of the Dublin scandals. He is in denial when he states his situation is different to that of the other Dublin bishops with whom he had collective responsibility.

What action did he take to change the prevailing culture of cover-up of sex scandals in Dublin – it would appear none.

Shame on him for describing as “vengeful” the efforts of ordinary Catholics seeking accountability.
