TDs look at votes, not road death figures

This whole malarkey about “isolated Ireland” is a joke. If people feel isolated, there is nothing stopping them driving to their local pub to enjoy a glass of ginger ale. It bemuses me how people in rural Ireland can’t nominate designated drivers as they do in urban areas.

The older generation is to blame for allowing this sort of behaviour to develop through the years in rural Ireland, to the point where the mentality is “two pints and you’re grand”.
