Rail staff praised

I’D like to put on record the fantastic service given by CIE in relation to people with disabilities. When my son, who is blind, is travelling into Dublin city by train, he is met at the station and assisted on to the train by a member of staff.

While making his way to the city the rail staff phone the station to which he is going to let them know and they are ready to help him disembark. People who are not affected are not aware of the importance of this fantastic service in relation to mobility for disabled commuters.

Thanks to all the rail staff at Malahide and city centre stations involved in this really important and very significant service.
