Heartbreak report

AFTER reading your report headlined ‘Crash which killed pregnant woman and son recalled’ (October 15), I couldn’t help but weep. We all need to be reminded of the horror and heartbreak caused by the carnage on our roads.

Do those who speed or otherwise drive dangerously not realise how unbelievably selfish they are? It may not be just themselves they kill but someone’s wife or husband or child.

I urge drivers to think about this the next time they’re overtaking on a bend so they’ll get home five minutes faster in the evening.

Wouldn’t they rather arrive alive?
