It’s a no-brainer. Vote to secure investment, jobs and the nation’s future

WHEN we decided to join Europe 37 years ago, 17% of voters voted against accession. Today there are certainly some who believe we would be better off outside the EU. For all the more recent debate, they are probably still not that numerous.

One look to the cold north to Iceland might be enough to explain why. The option of withdrawal from the EU is not on the menu on October 2.

However, should Irish voters at any time in the future choose to leave the EU, they remain free to do so. So anything we sign up to is not compromising that sovereign right.
