A crisis to put all others in the shade

I WISH to congratulate you for the excellent six-day World War II 70th anniversary special series (August 31-September 5).

At a time when all the other daily newspapers were flooding their pages with reports and comment about NAMA and the current economic “crisis”, it was great to see your journalists, commentators and contributing historians taking time out to remember the people who lived through those six years of real crisis and, of course, the sacrifice of the many millions who did not.
