Good location

I ENJOYED John Daly’s article (Weekend, August 1) where he took us on a movie location tour of Ireland.

Included in his list were such classics as The Quiet Man (Mayo), Ryan’s Daughter (Kerry) and Man of Aran (Galway).

While I am aware the list could have been endless, nonetheless I would have liked to have seen another classic included, namely Moby Dick (1956).

John Huston chose to shoot in Youghal as a result of his many visits to and collaboration with the writer and journalist Claud Cockburn (1904-1981), who lived in Myrtle Grove.
