Ryanair fares ‘no myth’

IN response to your article headlined ‘Flying Blind’ (July 8) I wish to assure readers that 99c airfares are not “a myth” and that the true cost of flying is not “hidden beneath a calculus of add-ons”.

Ryanair releases one million promotional fares every week and millions of passengers fly with us for just 99c, €1 and €5, etc, as promotional fares are inclusive of all mandatory taxes and charges — even the Government’s crazy €10 tourist tax.

If these fares were a “myth”, Ryanair would not be allowed to advertise them. Only Ryanair guarantees the lowest airfare and only Ryanair can offer flights from 99c.
