TD’s attitude reveals why state is beggared

WHY should anybody be surprised at Deputy Ned O’Keeffe’s attitude to the parents in Rathcormac, Co Cork.

At least it’s an honest expression of the diseased tribalism that has led us to the current state. For too long we have tolerated his like and their overweaning sense of entitlement.

The only person he represents is himself, the only creed he follows is Fianna Fáil.

Were he the only one we might have some chance. But the cabinet and the backbenches are full of his ilk – they have no sense of country or patriotism in the true sense. They have beggared this state and yet they still have the brass neck to look for the “oul number one” and give you a slap on the back.

In the end it’s all just spin. So what if we destroy the health system and hammer the poor – who cares?

So well done, Ned. In an unintentional way you ripped away the curtain and gave us all a look at the reality behind the smug posters.
