Self-serving politicians deserve our contempt

IN common with many letter writers of the last few days, I often call myself apolitical, though I am becoming increasingly unsure that that is really possible except in the brain dead.

Either way, I am not at all disgusted at the caricature of Cowan. It is the very least we could do to show our contempt.

He was a caricature of a finance minister and is now a caricature of a Taoiseach (to replace the previous joke) along with some other caricatures such as the Minister of Ill-Health.
