Political treason

WHEN Noel Dempsey accused people responsible for the wrongdoing in Anglo Irish Bank of “economic treason”, I wonder what would his or any other politician’s opinion be of corrupt politicians who organised land deals, rezonings and accepted brown envelopes.

Some of them have State pensions, even though when in office they were not properly representing those who elected them. I think they were guilty of “political treason” and should not be entitled to any remuneration from the State as they were not doing the job they were elected to do, but lining their own pockets.
