Get them out before they waste another cent

I STILL can’t take it in. Martin Cullen’s helicopter trip to Kerry cost the taxpayer approximately €8,000.

For me it’s the straw that broke the camel’s back. I was willing to bury my socialist principles and stand behind this Government for the sake of the country. Cullen could have used a video link or rescheduled other appointments to make time to travel like the rest of us... anything but waste €8,000, which is nearly half a year’s wages for a low-paid worker.

Times are so bad now most people inevitably are going to suffer... kids with special educational needs, young girls who would have benefited from a simple vaccine against a most horrible cancer.

People are being blown around in the economic storm, powerless to stop the damage being done and frightened for the future.

I say start the revolution. Get this shower out. Get them out before they waste another cent of our money on costly trips and on first-class holidays for St Patrick’s Day.

I can’t believe I ever supported this lot. I can’t believe any minister would behave like Cullen has in these hard times.
