ONE has to admire Mick Murphy, a Green party local election candidate in Cork, for being so public in his conviction by crushing his U2 collection with his jeep to demonstrate his disapproval of the way the band has moved its wealth out of this country (Irish Examiner, February 28).

One has to believe also that the gas-guzzling 4x4 used as the roller must have been using environmentally green fuel.
