Futile wait for Cowen to put an end to our sinking feeling

IT would be absolutely baffling that you should write (February 9) of Taoiseach Brian Cowen that he “thankfully has finally refound his voice and reasserted his leadership” were it not for the fact that all your editorial colleagues in all our print media are unanimous in believing he is always on the verge of some massive epiphany and conversion on the back road to Clara one of these dark and windy nights.

And everything will be happy once again.

None of you appears to grasp the depth and extent of the terror, frustration and anger which is growing out here. And the reasons for this terrible sinking feeling of helplessness.
